ACORNS ALL AROUND! / I’m wandering a forest. I am surrounded by young oaks, fallen leaves, and few flowers peeking between them like a family of soil. In the silence of the forest, I sat across from one of the monumental trees. I heard squirrels in the distance. Once again, I felt that I was a trivial part of nature and that the forest was breathing. An acorn fell from a branch and rolled until the tip of my foot. I took it and put it in my pocket to plant it in another place, by a mountain road.

[Laundry / Industrial Building]
Constructed in 1914
This one-story fieldstone building located near the western edge of the property grounds was originally built for use as a laundry, It was later converted to shops for printing, carpentry, tailoring, and carpet, mat and broom making in 1917. The building is located approximately 200 feet southwest of the dining hall building and on somewhat lower terrain.
Photo taken looking up at one of the ceiling hanging lamps still intact, I've also done two other before and after posts on this building before, you can find them down in my feed.
