💥ARTISTS FOR ACTION💥CALL TO ARTISTS💥 Our next art show at @venus.in.orbit called ARTISTS FOR ACTION will be focused solely on protest art! The goal of this show is to provide artists an opportunity to make work that speaks and contributes to a cause of their choice in order to make a direct impact. 50% of the proceeds from each piece sold will be donated to the artist’s chosen organization. There are a lot of really scary and threatening things happening in our country/world and artists have the chance to shine light on issues and solutions each time they create art! I am so excited to be collaborating with @candacewiant and @foxandcrowpaperco to bring this radical showcase together! Please email submissions to email@example.com by August 28th! The opening of Artists for Action will be November 8th at @venus.in.orbit ❣️
Two of five paintings I did in two days (!!!) as a submission to the Museum of Latin-American Art for an upcoming exhibit. I know these don't make sense out of context, but I'll share the five pieces in their entirety later... if they do get accepted. 😁 Because I had a show last Saturday, and needed some time to rest afterwards, I wasn't able to get around to these till yesterday, but I'm happy with them.
Our very own Liss LaFleur has devised an upcoming exhibition @themacdallas that is now calling for artist submissions. Curated by Liss and titled “Cosmic to Corporeal: Contemporary Queer Performance Practices,” the exhibition will explore performance practices specifically in relation to the queer body. It is particularly interested in the relationship of the body to technology, and invites submissions of all media with an emphasis on performance, performance documentation, performance texts, video, and time-based works. The exhibition seeks to provide an international, intergenerational, and intersectional exchange of artists who are working to redefine the constructs of performance art and identity.
There are a few days left to submit work, with a deadline of Thursday, August 15th. Find more information on The MAC’s website.
The #CoasterShow2019 is ACCEPTING SUBMISSIONS! Only one more month to submit - due Sept. 5th. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Presented at V°LITION Gallery, just in time for the month of Halloween, an exhibition that questions what is the nature of fear and how does it manifest itself in art? Fear is an emotion that is shapeless and follows no boundaries, yet it is an unavoidable aspect of who we are.
What shapes might it take in our present day lives? Our past experiences? Our future plans? And above all, what are the factors of experiencing this very particular and common emotion that connects us all? This unique exhibition aims to unite anyone who has dealt with the way that fear can paralyse, repress or even push you to overcome them.
We are looking for artwork that explores the concept of fear as it affects ones emotional state and artistic style. Art that describes and opens up discussions about the implications of fear -- how it is confronted, erased, or battled against. Is there beauty or comfort in your fear? Show us your own distinctive artistic exploration and confrontation of fear, both rational or irrational in nature.
Submit your art in the following link.
