It has been awhile since I have shared my grocery shopping for the week. I don’t know what happened to me this summer Lol. One study conducted on rats suggests a possible link to blood cancers, but, we are not rats. The largest study conducted on 500,000 humans found no link between aspartame and any cancer form. - - The assertion that ‘Sweeteners trick our brains into thinking that we’ve just ingested sugar’, thus resulting in an elevated insulin response flounders by virtue that there are no calories or sugar in diet drinks - thus no insulin response is possible. - - The dramatic claim that ‘Diet drinks destroy gut health and cause disease’ can be countered by the fact that though no nutrients are absorbed, only extreme consumption over time has been shown across studies to impact gut microbiome. So, it takes a lot of courage for me to post something like this... to put myself out there like that. 😌 However, I want to share this with you guys to inspire, motivate people and show you that it's possible. I have 3 kids (almost 8, 5, and 2 1/2), and my heaviest was in 2017... up to 270lbs. I want to help people believe in theirselves. Motherhood doesn't stop us from reaching a better form, and a healthier body. I just proved myself that, and I will prove even more! I am not done yet! . Before picture was taken in January 2019. After picture was taken on August 12, 2019. Difference of 23lbs on the scale, and lots of inches gone. The belly alone was almost 5 inches.😜 . Follow an exercise routine, and a good meal plan. You don't need to DIET... to "suffer" when comes to eat. It's harder on the begging because your body is used to certain foods or a certain way to find comfort. Once you get your MIND into it, you will get used to it, I will enjoy it, specially when you start seeing - and feeling - the results.❤ that's the best part!! . The nutrition side of the journey is totally up to you, what fits your daily routine, your budget... for me @herbalife was/is everything. Yes, I eat regular food, a lot 😊, but know what to eat. . The protein shakes (post workout), the meal replacement shakes, the collagen, the teas, the Liftoff + NRG for post-workout, the protein bars (like candy), and the best, the new BCAA!!!!! My 4 biggest takeaways from my own 1 year transformation: ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ✅Having a WHY - For me seeing 17 1/2 Stone on the scale was a big hit. I also had a medical operation that I believe was heavily due to me being overweight. This was my WHY. It did soon evolve once I began seeing results to then getting into the best shape possible to show others, like you, it can be done. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ✅I hired a coach - I recently heard a great point from someone that went something like "If you needed money advice you'd seek advice from an accountant or banker, electrical problems an electrician, car maintenance a mechanic but for some reason people think with fitness they can do it themselves" This is so true and I have done that for years and not seen any results. I knew to get there I needed a guide so I invested in myself and I hired a coach! It's been the best money I've ever spent! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ✅Be patient - Just as you didn't just one day wake up and you were overweight you can't expect to pair a couple of salads with a workout and have your dream body. It will take time but for those willing to accept this and enjoy it they will see the best results. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ✅Have fun - This should not be an awful process. It's difficult to think outside of our rolling internal chatter because, well, it's all we know. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ It's the radio station that's always on. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ We're constantly running an audit on how our moment to moment life is going. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Even worse, we're defining ourselves based on this. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Unfortunately, moment to moment circumstances don't change much. You don't *feel* improvement in that way. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ You don't feel yourself losing fat. You don't feel yourself getting smarter. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ You only reflect on these things after they've happened. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ So, in the moment, it's easy to conclude that you're a loser who won't amount to anything. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Instead of focusing on where you are right now— the moment to moment feelings— focus intently on where you're going. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Map out a plan towards your goals, and reverse engineer that into daily habits— things you can measure to tell you if you're on the right path. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Whenever you're upset over your current position, just refer to your trajectory. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Trust that if you keep doing the things in line with that trajectory, you will reach your goals. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Don't leave your trajectory to chance, or daily feelings— you will never have consistent improvement that way. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Zoom out, look at the bigger picture, make a plan, and chip away one day at a time. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ P.S. I have 3 kids (almost 8, 5, and 2 1/2), and my heaviest was in 2017... up to 270lbs. I want to help people believe in theirselves. Motherhood doesn't stop us from reaching a better form, and a healthier body. I just proved myself that, and I will prove even more! I am not done yet! . Before picture was taken in January 2019. After picture was taken on August 12, 2019. Difference of 23lbs on the scale, and lots of inches gone. The belly alone was almost 5 inches.😜 . Follow an exercise routine, and a good meal plan. You don't need to DIET... to "suffer" when comes to eat. It's harder on the begging because your body is used to certain foods or a certain way to find comfort. Once you get your MIND into it, you will get used to it, I will enjoy it, specially when you start seeing - and feeling - the results.❤ that's the best part!! . The nutrition side of the journey is totally up to you, what fits your daily routine, your budget... for me @herbalife was/is everything. Yes, I eat regular food, a lot 😊, but know what to eat. . 💥 Left was during my bulk and when I first started the #sculptsquad .. it was my very first workout with was a Full Body and I remember doing the incline pushups thinking I was about to die! Right is today, almost three months into my cut and am appalled. Obviously there are still flaws on my body that I wish I could change, I still pick apart how my left glute has a small dimple that just won’t go away. Or how I wish I didn’t have the excess skin and stretch marks from carrying a child and excessive weight gain/loss. But you know what.. I’m proud as hell. Because what you see here, I done. How many times have you lost your shit at this... - - Feeling like it was a fucking waste of time. Its not working. You're broken. You're not responding. You're never going to be lean and have abs. If you obsess over a number on the scale, you’ll struggle mentally forever. - - 2. If you LOST 100 grams, you'd be unimpressed. Why? Because 100 grams is nothing. It's not even worth losing?! (So then why is it such a monumental difference if you only gained that much...?) - - 3. Weight fluctuates. Hydration. Sleep. Recovery status. Hormones. Sodium. Bowel matter (...poo). You can't control that. - - 4. One snapshot doesn't say much. Look at trends. If the trend is generally up over a 7-10 day period? You aren't in a deficit. Increase activity (track steps, walk, add some cardio) or reduce intake (reduce your portion sizes of Fats or Carbs). - - 5. Invest in a mentor. Someone who isn't emotionally attached to a number on your scales & sees the bigger picture. You can't solve your current problem with the same level of thinking that got you there.
