I Incorporated a lot of activation movements in between my exercises! This helped me keep my glutes engaged the whole workout ... positives and negatives to this scenario. Positives ? booty gains. Negatives? No walking the rest of the day.

The story behind this photo is probably one of my favorites in terms of human kindness and support from strangers❤️
This is avalanche Lake, a 3 hour hike to get to from the West side of Glacier National park. Stunning views of 3 cascading waterfalls, crystal clear waterfalls and several other beautiful humans/strangers.
I kept telling Eric that I really wanted a photo of me doing a handstand on this rock (while it looks easy to balance on, it’s not. It actually slopes down very dramatically from the top on me palm going forwards. Basically balancing on my palms with no use of my fingertips 😅).
I kept hesitating in my press up. I could hear strangers saying “What is she doing?” This made me even more nervous that I was going to fail and face-plant in front of a a bunch of people🤦🏻♀️. Then I here one girl go “She’s doing a handstand! YOU GOT THIS GIRL! I’m a lifeguard so if you need saving I got you.” I chuckled because it was only 4 inches deep here😂❤️ but it was enough support to make me determined to commit fully to this press-up handstand.
To my surprise, I could actually hold it for awhile, doing different shapes and find some hang time for 30 seconds or so!
When I came down, I got a standing applause from the 15 people that were around the lake 😭🙏🏻🙏🏻.
It was so beautiful to receive kindness, support and love from complete strangers!
Just a little reminder that I know this world can be dark, but please remember there are also so many beautiful humans here, filled with love and so much light 🏔🐾🙌🏼
#tb Weather like this makes me miss summer! 💔🌞 it’s a good thing I’m leaving for Bali in less than 2 months, can’t wait to chase sunsets and hunt for coconuts🌴🥥. Couldn’t really care about my summerbody, but definitely working on my bikini body now! Losing my summer fluff❤️🤪
☁️ MY RIB INJURY ☁️ It’s been over a week now since I injured my ribcage. I was doing a very intense backbend and all of the sudden I felt a pain in my ribs. It has never happened before so I was terrified. I think I got into the posture too fast or too deep.
I was not able to do any backbend since then. I had troubles with deeper breathing (still have)
Heart openers are my favourite part of yoga practice so it’s been really hard for me not to practice them but I knew I had to listen to my body.
I decided to give myslef time to recover.
I have been to the doctor today and she said I did not broke my rib (thank God🙏) but strained my rib muscles. She also suggested doing gentle stretches and said that my injury will heal on its own.
Moral of the story:
Be cautious with your body.
And respect its boundaries.
Your health is number 1 thing!
