My moms roses. Still beautiful. Whose to say when beauty has passed its mark? I took a photograph of a spent old home on the side of the road as well- I do have the softest spot for the charm of those things that tell a story. ❤️Charlotte was terrified as she watched me approach the “haunted” house- sure that I would disappear inside- falling prey to goblins- she was yelling frantic words of warning from the open car window. Oh, October. 🍂
“I am weary of the garden said the rose. For the winter winds are sighing,
all my playmates round me dying,
and my leaves will soon be lying ‘neath the snows....
But I hear the storm winds stirring in their lair.
And I know they soon will lift me in their giant arms
and sift me into ashes as they drift me through the air.
So I pray them in their mercy just to take, from my heart of hearts, or near it,
the last living leaf and bear it
to her feet and bid her wear it for my sake. “- Miles

"Room With A View"
I just loved all of these pictures, behind glass, on the corners and sides of so many of the old and even newer buildings, in Rome.
These pictures were often related to something spiritual.
This building was about 500 feet from our hotel, as we were heading back from a full day of walking and taking in the sights.. At first, I captured a couple of frames with my professional camera and then...The shutters opened and this Italian gentleman appeared, talking on the phone, while taking in the surroundings streets and activities.
I clicked off about 6 more images and then waved a note of thanks to him and he looked down at me, smiled and waved back! Gotta love Rome!!! Piazza Di Tor Sanguigna
